Unfortunately, that label came across some hard times, and she was released from her contract. Not letting that get her down, she joined forces with Strong Foundation & Co., Papi Hey of 2 Gran Productions, Shazam X of Ugly Face Productions, Chethan Music, and Major Moves Recording Studios. Milyssa felt that being more involved in the creative process would expand her horizons and evolve her innate skills.
Over the years, Milyssa has won numerous awards, such as the AUMA Radio Best Female Vocalist (2015), Straight Ally 2014 for Meak Productions, Akademia Music Awards for Best Pop four times (2014/2016), Poze Records Best Music Video (April 2014), and Follow Because I am Hot (Hot Block Magazine, 2013).
Knowing no limitations, Milyssa has been intensely active in community fundraisers for many years—some of which include: People TV, The Shepherd's House, Rainbow House, 500 Songs for Kids, WOW Ministries, International Women of H.O.P.E. and Sosyete Koukouy of Atlanta. Milyssa's music has been featured on R&B Divas/TV One, UEFA (Union of European Football Association), and Sounds of the Underground (Pilot Tv show). Her song "Fierce and Fabulous" was chosen to be featured and filmed for WOW Ministries' domestic violence project. You can also find her music on Coast to Coast mixtapes Pop, We Workin, and Makin Moves mixtapes. Milyssa's latest song with Latin Hip Hop artist Raxiel Sinz, "Can't lose your Love," was featured on Thisis50 and had over 20K hits on Vevo.
Most recent accomplishments include Milyssa performing on the most significant stage of her career in 2023 at the Centennial Olympic Park for the first-ever GA Talent Music Showcase for Look Up Atlanta. The event was live on Atlanta News First/Peachtree Tv as well. She was featured on Savile Row's "Night Fever" with Open Mike Eagle and Chubb Rock. Be sure to stream “The Collection” that dropped earlier this year. Check out Milyssa's new single "Lost at the Seams" featuring C-WIZ on all platforms 10/10 for Mental Health Day. Not sure what the cost of this.
